Delightful 2 bedroom house, adjacent to our principle residence, and overlooking the centre of the village with views of the magnificent 11th. Century Abbey, Church, Bar/restaurant and shop. Supermarket and all other facilities are 5Kms away in Beaumont du Perigord.
St Avit Senieur is renowned as a centre for walking and cycling holidays with many interesting tracks and ancient roads. The Abbey was an important refuge for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostelle in northern Spain. For further infomation on the area go to our links and events page.
The house consists of:-
Kitchen/Dining/Living room of 30 sq.m with access to the family garden and private stone veranda. Stairs lead to a large first floor bedroom of 20 sq.m with double bed and family shower room and toilet. Stairs to an attic bedroom with two single beds suitable for children.
Equipped with:-
Washing machine,dishwasher,electric oven and hob,fridge/freezer, combination grill/microwave, BBQ and all usual small appliances. Digital LCD TV with free to view English and French channels. Unlimited WiFi broadband Internet access is available free of charge. Towels, linen, power and light is included in high season. A drying room for clothes and footware is available in the main house on the rare occasion of inclement weather, secure bike storage available for the more active guests.
A collection service from Bergerac airport is available for up to four persons and a child sitting service can be arranged, please enquire at time of booking.
On arrival you will find a few essentials are already stocked in the house, wine, tea/coffee and condiments, as well as loo rolls, kitchen roll etc. The village shop is open 0830-1230 every day and is highly recommended by locals and the owners for fresh bread and local wines. The bar/restaurant is open pretty much all day during the season but this may vary, again highly recommended.
